There have been a lot of great deals on portable storage devices over the past few days, but Buy.com has taken the discount fest one step further by giving away a 1GB SD Card. The card, which normally retails for $50 has a $30 mail-in-rebate discount and a $20 discount if you use Google Checkout making the final cost a staggering $0.00. To top it off, shipping is free and you have 30 days to mail in the $30 rebate form.

This deal expires in just a few days on December 23rd.

Yesterday, we reported that you could get a pair of 1GB Flash Drives from Buy.com for just $24 after rebates, but now we have an even better deal and one that we found hard to believe until we double and triple checked our sources.

We have just learned that TigerDirect is offering a 4GB Flash Drive, for just $15. The deal ends on New Year’s Eve, December 31st, 2006, and to get the deal, you have to fill out 2 mail-in-rebate forms. You also have to pay about $7 for shipping, but I doubt you will be able to find a 4GB flash drive for under $25 at most other retailers.

This week, Amazon is offering a limited number of 20GB and 60 GB PS3s as well as the new Nintendo Wii at its regular asking price. While a savings of $0.00 is usually not that exciting, this is undoubtedly going to be the most popular “Deal of the Week” so far. So many people want one of these new consoles, but they are virtually impossible to find at a somewhat decent price.

A 60GB PS3 will cost you just under $600, while a 20GB PS3 retails for just under $500 and the Wii only costs $249.98.

To get the “deal” you have to enter your account into a lottery by 11:59 PST today and winners will be announced on Tuesday. We don’t know how many of each console are available, but Amazon has said users will have a 8 to 1 chance of getting the 20GB PS3, 36 to 1 chance of getting the 60GB PS3, and 20 to 1 chance of getting the Nintendo Wii.

You can enter yourself into the sweepstakes.

The Zune may be getting trashed by most major tech media outlets, but Amazon customers still think enough of it to vote it as this week’s Deal of the Week. The Zune normally retails for over $200, however, Amazon will be selling a limited quantity of the MP3 Player for just $90. Only 1000 units will be available at this price and Amazon has changed to a lottery system so everyone has an equal shot at getting the deal.

The Zune, which has been struggling in terms of sales, faced a TMX Elmo, a WowWee Roboreptile Robotic Reptile, and a George Foreman grill. If anyone wants one of these deals, you will have to vote for them. (Just note that you can only get the deal you vote for and those who do not vote can only get the deal which received the most votes.)

So like I did on Thanksgiving Day, I visited Amazon in hopes to get a $25 Axion Portable DVD Player and again I did not win. However, it seems as if fewer people are trashing Amazon this week than they did no Thanksgiving Day when their servers crashed just minutes before they sold the XBOX 360 Core Console for just $100, Regardless, we will update you with this week’s tech product as soon as Amazon releases all details.

Even after last week’s Customer Vote disaster, Amazon has continued the program another week and this week’s special tech deal is a $100+ Axion Portable DVD player for just $25. Only 1000 will be sold at this price if it is chosen. Amazon is also offering a Black and Decker drill, diamond earrings, and membership to Amazon Prime as well as a $100 gift certificate to their Toys department.

Only the product that gets the most votes of the four above will be offered this week and so far, the Portable DVD player has pulled out to an early lead with over 47.5% of the votes. We will update you when a winner is selected.

In a follow-up on our story about the $100 XBOX 360 at Amazon.com, it seems like hundreds of others had the same problem I did and are very angry at Amazon’s handling of the promotion. In the “Customer Vote” page where the XBOX 360 was sold, hundreds of users have left their comments and the vast majority of them blast Amazon and say that no one should purchase anything from the web site. Sprinkled throughout the dozens of negative comments, is the cheerful reply of one of the 1000 who got the $100 XBOX 360 promotion code.

As many of you may know, on Thanksgiving Day at exactly 11 AM PST, Amazon was going to sell 1000 XBOX 360s (the Core versions) for $100 each. Although I have an XBOX 360, I still tried to purchase the console from Amazon. Well at about 10:58, the servers at Amazon could not handle the traffic and completely crashed for a few minutes. It took me about 4 minutes to refresh the page and when the page did load at 11:03, all of the 1000 consoles had sold out. We will have an update on this story as Amazon makes an announcement or more information becomes available.
